EDB Wood Design is the workshop of L'Ecole Du Bois - EdB (School of Wood). 

The division was formed in January 2012. All employees of EDB Wood Design except the expatriate manager are graduates of the school. All profits from sales go towards the operating costs of the school. The aim is to ensure gradually financial independence. Ecole du Bois is still the only school in Cambodia dedicated solely to fine woodworking skills.

 

Environmental considerations are at the heart of Ecole du Bois's ethos. Where ever possible we avoid using Cambodian forest products opting instead to use recycled or antique wood, timbers sourced from sustainable plantation sources and manufactured wood composite boards. We purchase second-hand wood locally and will collect unwanted timber items suitable for recycling.
